Invitation to amend Town Planning Scheme to rezone

The Roleystone Seniors Housing committee wish to advise that the initiation of the amendment to rezone the Primary School site from Public Purpose to Residential-Restricted Use has commenced.

The proposed amendment will facilitate a future development application for Aged or Dependant Persons Accommodation on the primary school site. The initiation of the rezoning application has passed formally through Council and been referred to the EPA for their comments. After EPA have made their comments it will, if no reports are required be formally advertised by Council for public comment .We think this will possibly be November/December. After Council formally considers all submissions and made any variations it will then go forward to the WAPC for final approval (probably March/April). This final rezoning process will take a few months. It will then be up to the State Government to commence the process of putting the land out for tender.
