The Rock Inne Tavern located on a hill not far past Roleystone used to be a Rock ' n Roll institution for those in the know. Dave Hole started off playing to 10 people there in the '80's and in the 90's saw it's heyday with countless numbers of packed nights featuring some of Perth's finest blues rock bands.
After a decade in live music oblivion the Rock Inne is under new management and with a steady stream of local bands - some young and some not-so-young, has attracted back some of the old brigade along with a new generation of live music lovers.
This coming Sunday sees a return to the good ole Sunday Session with a special tribute to AC/DC for the Australia Day weekend by WA's most powerful and comprehensive AC/DC salute band, Hells Bells.
Having notched up a healthy number of metro and regional concerts as well as 70+ pub gigs over the last three years, Hells Bells will play for the first time at the Rock Inne Tavern on Sunday 25th Jan.
The comfortable and inviting beer garden will be awash with the aroma of a spit roast from 5pm and throughout the night there will be prizes and giveaways all things Aussie.
Local legend Kim Bettenay, best known as the guy who plays guitar on the Subaru ad, will open proceedings from 7pm with his stunning style of acoustically dynamic guitar and vocal prowess.
