Did anyone catch the movie "Silent Running" last night on the ABC?
I just caught the tail end. I hadn't seen it before - it's an oldie - 1972 made by some of the same guys who did "2001 A Space Odyssey". Its a real Gem.
Anyway - watching the last 15min of the movie had me really intrigued about what the rest of the movie was all about. So I Googled it. That's when I found the GUBA site.
Silent running part one is here

Silent running part two is here

That’s the whole movie (~1.5 hours) streaming from the internet. The longest clip you can watch on the popular
www.Youtube.com is only 10min.
For this site to work you need a high speed broadband connection - ADSL2+ - like with iinet. It will chew up your quota too - so keep an eye on that.
Not sure about the copyright issues here with this sort of stuff - but the program was screened on free to air TV anyway.
Watch the movie first - then afterwards check out how they did the robots back in 1972

(PS: after looking around on Guba a bit more there seems to be some Adult content - so be warned.)
