Just read that the State Alert system is going on line today. I remember one of the chaps from the Community Fire meeting was talking about it.

It's a system to alert people about fire threats - to automatically send messages to landline and mobile phones about fire threats in an area.

Can't find any more info yet. If somebody knows how to join up, shout out

Fesa has a new website called Welcome to StateAlert. Go to www.statealert.wa.gov.au

It's worthwhile checking that you are registered. If you are not listed in the phone book you may not be automatically included.

I am on naked DSL and will be checking that I am registered.
