what do you do with neighbours who dump dead leaves and vegetation against a wire fence?
The fence happens to be close to the back of our house and far from their houses.
We spend a lot of time clearing up leaf litter and weeds and taking it to the tip only to have large piles of the stuff dumped on the fence line close to us.
Surely deliberately loading up bushfire fuel on the fence line is unacceptable. It is their land and their side of the fence but it disturbs me to have someone elses fuel load near my house.

Any ideas

I would seek advice from the Council, that is scary!

Could you try mentioning your worries about the fire hazard first to your neighbour, they might not have realized that this is a worry for you. We all do things sometimes without thought.

I also passed on your query to our Councillor Pat Hart and she suggested the following:

"I would suggest to the person having concerns with their neighbour and dead leaves etc to contact the Roleystone Bushfire Brigade to see if they could talk to the landowners about the fire hazard they are causing.'
