Last night while was driving along Brooton Highway, I came across Bill and a Pink and Grey Galah sitting at the Bus Stop.

While Bill was having a rest, the Galah flew down beside him. The Galah can talk, fly and is very approachable - but he likes to bite fingers I'd say the Galah is about middle aged - and has a ruffle in his pink breast feathers.

So if you have lost a Galah, check out the corner of Brookton Highway and Thompson Road at the Bus Stop.

He flew into an old tree on the corner and seemed happy and healthy.

The people here on Thompson Rd know the Galah well. We guess his name is Charlie (because he has been heard to say hello charlie).

Charlie tried to make a nest under the ridge cap of my house by chewing out the styrofoam. I tolerated it for a week or so until the damage kept on going and closed off the access.

I hope no-one tried to catch him: I had a pet galah growing up that used to fly all around meeting and talking to the neighbours until one day (after 17 years) she just dissapeared. I presume someone caught her and locked her up which stopped her flying back (it happened once before when we lost her for 6 months).
