Protect yourself and your family from mosquito bites. My husband has just been diagnosed with Ross River virus and the local Doctor commented that there were 9 cases reported this month of May 2012 in Roleystone. All patients had not been outside Roleystone recently. We have noticed more mosies around this year. The Health Department has excellent information about this virus at the following link.www.public.health.wa.gov.au/3/352/3/ross...r_virus_infection.pm

I encourage everyone to empty out all water from outside containers. If you have bird baths then replenish them regularly. If you have frog ponds then make sure you have some native fish in them that will eat mosquito lavae and not the frog eggs. Any more tips please from our community!!!!

Take care. :)
